Rene Marie Russo has been a model, actress as well as a film maker in the US. Rose Namajunas is one of the most successful female athletes within the UFC. She started out as an amateur fighter who participated in regional competitions, before signing up with Invicta Fighting Championships. Then she became a member of the Ultimate Fighting Championships. She has gained a lot of fame following her joining of the UFC due to both her outside and inside the octagon's successes. Namajunas is born June 29th on the 29th of June, 1992 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to a Lithuanian immigrants family. Growing up, Rose was involved in sports such as basketball and kickboxing. Rose made her debut as a professional at the age of 18 for Invicta Fighting Championships in which she was able to win two bouts by submission. Dana White was impressed and invited Rose to join the strawweight division of the UFC at the age of 22 at the end of December in 2014. Through Rose's professional career, she's gone through periods of both extremes and lows, but every victory has been hers. In April 2015 Rose took on Carla Esparza for the inaugural Women s Strawweight Championship at The Ultimate Fighter 20 Finale in which she was victorious by technical knockout less than 3 minutes into Round One and not just winner of the title, but being named Fighter Of The Night along with creating history within MMA because this was the for the first time in history that women competed for a championship title with a major promoter around the world . Namajunas was able to win several fights after this win, including defeating Joanna Jedrzejczyk on two occasions. The win brought Namajunas Performance Of The Night recognition from UFC.
